Hello
I'm Max (he/him), an artist that's not so easy to define. I've worked in production design, theater, character art, and visual development and have dived into too many personal art projects to count. Whether it's teaching the art of theatre design or teaching myself how to do stained glass there's no creative endeavor too large or small. I've been trying to bottle stars since forever and art was how I accomplished that.

I am accompanied in my journey by my two black cats and my incredibly talented wife.
My Story
Born in Austin, Texas and raised with my mother in a village of artists in Deia, Mallorca and holidays in Paris with my father, I’ve had the good fortune to experience the world, and life, from many different cultural perspectives. Some of my earliest memories are of watching my grandmother as she worked her potter’s wheel, helping my grandfather with his lost wax casting or sitting with Afghani artists in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul while they manufactured my mother’s jewelry collection. I come from a family of artists so despite my early desire to become a paleontologist, I succumbed to the pull of genetics and pursued art in all of its forms throughout my academic career- and every waking minute outside of the confines of academia. Art has been my life as long as I have memory. Life as an artist has taught me all about adaptability, struggle, interpretation, failure, frustration, success and the realization that art is ever evolving, adapting and nothing ever is truly complete.
